CHAMPAGNE…WHY PAY MORE?
There are plenty of other good value sparkling wine options out there — crisp, clean Proseccos from Italy and earthy Cavas from Spain — all of which can be great buys in the $10 to $20 range.
But as we celebrate the season and ring in the New Year, we want something a little more luxurious. We crave that velvety texture, those tight little bubbles and sophisticated style only Champagne can offer.
What about Cremant? It’s French…it’s bubbly…it’s composed of high-quality hand picked grapes. Only a stones throw away from the Champagne district. It’s made in the same labor intensive tradition that Champagne is. And the best part… it’s not too expensive! Recently, I tried 18 different cremants to find a few that I would be proud to serve at a holiday dinner or give as a yuletide gift. Check out my video review of the Willm Cremant d’ Alsace.

ABOUT WINES FROM TABALI ESTATES IN CHILI

The next segment with Vanessa Latimer of Southern Wine Group. This time she has their Tabali wines from Chile. Both the Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir are very nice styles. Nice acidity and balance due to the limestone soils further north near the dessert. Great wines!

About Wines-Tannat Wines the Healthiest in the World

The benefits of drinking red wine for health are well known. However, only specific wines show true health benefits. Research has now found that red wines made from the Tannat grape are the healthiest wines available, due to the high content of procyanidins, about 3-4 times that of most red wine.
Here in CT, there are only 4 Tannats from Uraguay to choose from. I have reviewed all 4 and chosen the Bodegas Carrau (92 PTS) $12.99
